Surely Not

One thing that medical school has done to the Fuddled Medic is to make him very good at passing exams. Thankfully I have not yet failed one, although I admit I have come close.

Today I found out I have passed another one. Only two more sets of exams stand between me and being an FY1. Scary.

And yet I still feel like I know nothing, I know enough to pass tests, but enough to be a doctor?

  1. I have exactly the same feeling. I pass exams, but do I really know anything? Don't feel like it.

  2. In a year or so's time you will find your instincts are correct. You don't know anything yet! :-P cf. mine and The Shrink;s comments on your last post.
Don't worry, you'll probably cope (like the rest of us did). It's easy to lose sight of the fact that you're supposed to be supervised as an FY1.
